TEAM 3161
Duration: May 2018 - June 2020
Project Scope: Logo Redesign, Website Redesign and Maintenance, Visual Identity(Branding) Refresh
Team 3161 is a FIRST Robotics Competition team from Oakville, Ontario. This diverse group of mentors and students work together to build a competitive 54kg robot while fostering community relationships and the promotion of STEM to both their students and outreach demographic.
The Project was tasked as a way to increase sponsor viability, student promotion and community engagement.
One of the major aspects of this visual identity refresh is the revitalization of the team logo, simplifying it so it can suit more environments both in print and digital mediums.
After the logo was redesigned, the whole design system of the team's brand was refreshed, the color system revamped, as well as the graphic design elements were redesigned. This whole process was iterative and took over 2 years to complete and was condensed into a single brand standard document as the process was taking place.
Aside from the Visual Identity revamp, The team website was also redesigned to reflect the new standards in place, this necessitated a move to a more GUI-Friendly Web Management System from the Code-based the old website was using, eliminating the need on the reliance of one person to modify and manage the website's contents and along with the Visual Identity Revamp, this redesign was also iterative in nature
